Add Bethany & Alana Fans on Myspace!

6/29/09-Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that the Mr. Price Pro was cancelled due to dangerous surf. The remaining 24 surfers recieved 19 points out of 1200 and they split the entire contest prize money which gave them each 1,000 dollars. Both Bethany and Alana were two of the remaining 24 competitors.
Also two new affiliates have been added. They are sites run and made by Jessica Hoffman whom was really generous and lent Soul Sisters the scans from Cooler Magazine. She founded Make-up Memoirs and Pure Beauty Ministries where you can read more info about them on her blogs!

later update...5 new photos of Alana have been added to the Alana 2009 Competitions Album and 1 new photo to Bethany 2009 Competition Album.
Aloha! Bethany and Alana have surfed their heats in round number two and they have both advanced into round 3! Bethany won her heat racking up a score of 13.17 points and Alana came second in her heat with 8.00 points.
Good luck to both girls for for round 3! I will have the latest photos up ASAP, so keep checking the latest uploads today in the gallery.

6/26/09-Hi all! Today I have added three new scans of Alana from the Cooler Magazine issue that was out about a year ago. You can find them in the Magazine/Scans Album. Huge thanks to Jessica Hoffman for posting the scans on her blog! Jessica was the make-up artist on set and was able to spend some time with Alana during the shoot. I also believe that Jessica will be the make-up artist on Bethany's new feature film Soul Surfer!
The Mr. Price Pro is going on and Soul Sister will keep you updated as both Bethany and Alana are competing in this event. Good luck girls!

6/22/09-Aloha! I have some very exciting news for Bethany's feature film Soul Surfer! First off they will begin filming this August and will continue to film for 8 weeks. A well known and and respected actress will be portraying Bethany and two A-List male actors are considering roles in the film. Ben Aipa, a Hawaiian surfer, will be playing the role of Bethany's coach in Soul Surfer as well. Full casting will be announced early July and most of the filming will take place at Turtle Bay on the island of Oahu. To read the entire article on Soul Surfer click here.
I can't wait to see the full cast list and am wondering who it is that they casted as Bethany. Any thoughts? Be sure to post some ideas on the shout box.

6/21/09-Hi all! It's officially summer today in the USA and I'm very excited for the nice weather to finally come around!

6/15/09-Hi all! Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I have been uploading photos even though I have not posted any news. If you did not know yet, I uploaded a bunch of screen caps to the Alana Misc Screen Caps album. They are of Alana and the other girls profiled in Vanity Fair Magazine.
Today I have uploaded two new photos of Alana to the Magazines/Scans album. They are of her modeling for Spy Optics Eyewear.

6/8/09-Aloha! The gallery is back up and running after being down for a few days. I have uploaded the new rip curl photos into the Rip Curl Album and I have added the ASP media kit photos to the Alana Exclusives Album. Also I got the scan from Vanity Fair along with the outtakes from the magazine. Those photos are also in the Alana Exclusives Album.
I should have some new rip curl caps up ASAP. Enjoy!

6/6/09-Hi all! So right now I can't get any help from my host and my main gallery page is off and on the past few days... so I'm going to post my photos on my old fotki gallery for now. I will start using the coppermine again when I can get everything under control.

I will have more updates to come about the Vanity Fair photoshoot! I do have the scan, however the quality is poor and I am trying to fix it. Please keep checking for more updates on that. Enjoy!

6/1/09-Hi all! The new ASP media kit for the Women's World Tour is up on aspworldtour.com! I have uploaded the two photos for you to see. They will be added to the gallery ASAP. 5/29/09-later update... I have made a new album called ASL Women's Photoshoot. You can find it under the screen caps main album as I have capped part of the photoshoot that Alana did with the other girls.

5/28/09-Aloha! Alana Blanchard is currently featured in Rolling Stone! After Transworld Surf did a feature on Alana many people are taking notice and realizing that Alana is the next big thing in women's surfing. To view the article click here.

5/13/09-Hi all! Some fun off topic news... A new magazine called Reversal Magazine has released its first issue! This magazine is all about living life through Christ and turning to God in life. Noah Hamilton and Becky B. are two of the many people who have made this magazine possible. Be sure to check out Reversal Magazine at reversalmag.com ! You can check out Noah's amazing portfolio and some great articles on many different surfers.

5/3/09-Hi all! A couple of updates today, first off I added two photos of Alana at the Estoril Billabong Pro yesterday to the Alana Competition 2009 album. I have just added four new Sanuk ads to the Sanuk Album and I have a really cool Ocean Minded Ad that I need to scan, but am waiting for some better quality photos to come along.
One of the Sanuk Ads is of the Yoga Mat sandal and recently on my vacation I was lucky enough to spot a pair of these and bought them. I cannot tell you how comfy these are and I can see why Alana likes them so much! The material is actually the same as a yoga mat and having that to walk on everyday is great. I hope you all are able to go out and buy a pair.
Lastly my friend Meg and the co-webmiss here recently had a scary encounter while surfing. Meg surfs pretty much everyday at her local break and was out with a friend when she spotted a shark. Now I'm not trying to scare anyone here, but there have been numerous shark sightings lately and I just want everyone to be aware of this and to keep an eye out.
Anyways Meg knew that this was not a dolphin as she surfs with them all the time and needed to get to shore quickly. No waves were coming in and Meg told me she was just praying for a wave to come and bring her to shore. All of a sudden a 7 foot wave (which is unusual where she lives) comes and brings her safely to shore. This is just another miraculous of how God works and the love he has for us!
Thought you all would enjoy hearing that story. Thanks Meg for sharing!

5/2/09-In round three of 24 Alana surfed great but did not advance into the next round. Great job to both Bethany and Alana for surfing hard and doing great!
Great job Alana for winning her heat in round two! She will now advance into round three. Bethany surfed great in round two as well but took third and will not advance. Great job to both girls. Be sure to catch Alana in round three of 24 heat number four. They are finishing up the first heat right now.
Aloha! The Estoril Billabong Pro is on and Bethany has already won her first heat! She will now advance into the next round!
